AcoholEdu

Is the lamest thing I've ever heard of. I already know about alcohol and what my favorite drinks are. I don't need them telling me the HARMFUL effects of it. I'm not doing that course. I dont care. I'm not doing it.

Anyone else thing this is stupid and that we covered this in 9th grade health?

What is this? I wasn't aware of any course we had to take on drinking.

sorry....it came in the mail today.

princeton has required pre-frosh to complete this course for several years now. it's not alone. several hundred colleges use the program, in some form, including brown, cornell, dartmouth, and penn. so, suck it up. it's painless.

see, e.g.:

http://www.news.cornell.edu/http://www.news.corne/releases/Oct04/AlcoholEdu.sfm.html

Guess we won't be seeing you at Princeton, then, Ivyboy.

It's two fracking hours. Get over it.

I'm gonna do it

but i'll still complain

WAHHHHHHH WAHHHHH scoff

This may sound sadistic, but I'm kind of glad that other schools have to do this. MIsery really does love company, especially when said misery has a best friend going to Brown who will have to suffer through the same thing!

LOL I haven't even got it yet. Is it really obnoxious?

Hahaha....ICargirl....same here. I have friends at Brown, Penn, and Cornell. Maybe I'll just make them do mine for me.

sucharita - its no obnoxious...it just seems really elementary. We did this in high school. Oh well...suchy....you and me baby...we'll have our own AlcoholEdu night. :)

ehehe sure - and it's going to be much more educational, isn't it :p

Hahaha

I'm so sick of disappointing, misleading mail from Princeton. When I got this alcohol thing last night I was like "hmm the envelope's kinda thin but it says it's from campus life or something...oooooh rooming" except NOT. Rawwwrrrr

But yea, this thing seems pretty painless; they're just trying to cover their ***es so nobody sues or something

I had the same thought, Zante. But the dissapointment did give way to some hope. I seem to have recieved the letter earlier than most of you (on Saturday), so I'm hoping that that means I'll get housing info quicker than expected as well!

Heh. I'm never especially disappointed considering I get my mail years later than everyone else.

Yes, but you get to live in hawaii so I don't feel too bad for you

Really, it's not that bad. Although if they're going to give you a two hour online course in alcohol awareness, it would be nice if you could at least get something useful like TIPS certification out of it. :-P

Ashley '06

ill be sipping away on a martini while i take my AlcoholEDU course!

Cheers, L'Chaim!

That's the spirits!

Ashley '06 (has been sacked for the awful pun)

Hahah oh I love puns.

What's the web link for the alcoholedu course?

I never completed the AlcoholEDU course. They want you to do it, but they don't go after you if you don't. Don't worry if you don't have the time now.
