<p>I assume that admissions officers know what these mean. I think there were a few applications that even asked for an AMC score (I think it was for specific scholarships, at least at WashU, and apparently it is on the MIT application as well). But i when i wrote these on my application, i wrote AIME (American Invitational Math Exam) just to be sure they knew.</p>
