ACT Online Prep harder than actual ACT?

Sorry if this has already been asked.

I’m not sure if anyone else got this as well, but as I was signing up for the September ACT there was an offer to include the online prep so I said why not and got that as well. The only problem is, I’m doing much worse on the online prep than I am on any other ACT prep. I have the real ACT prep guide from ACT (red book) and am doing well on all those tests (the book is from 2015) so I’m confused by this.

Have they redesigned the ACT since when I took it last December? Is anyone else finding the online prep unnecessarily difficult? Thanks in advance to all feedback!

It is new program I’m pretty sure. Have you taken the practice tests on there and they are more difficult or just the lessons? I bought it yesterday and the lessons feel significantly more difficult. It is also more confusing because the questions don’t go into much detail and in reading passages and stuff the lines aren’t numbered. There is definitely room for improvement on the ACT Online Prep.

Just to recap, lessons seem hard (I’ve taken the act twice), but I have yet to try the tests which they say are previous tests (I hope they aren’t the same tests from the red book…)
