Act question

Does Boston college superscore ACTs?

Yes, they definitely do superscore the a ACT. Please see: http://blog.■■■■■■■■■■■/blog-0/bid/151653/Superscoring-for-the-ACT

be careful when citing non-official sources, since many are out of date or just plain wrong.

While I do believe that BC superstores the ACT (if I remember the admissions tour correctly), I have yet to see it in writing from any BC source.

When in doubt, send both.

Good luck.

From the undergrad admission FAQ page:
"I’ve taken the SAT and/or ACT multiple times. Will Boston College use my highest individual section scores?
Yes. If you have taken the SAT more than once, Boston College will take the highest individual section scores from each date and combine those scores. For the ACT, Boston College will take your highest individual section scores and average them together, also known as “superscoring.”

If I submit two ACT scores, one with writing and one without, does anyone know if they will use any of the individual section scores (or composite) from the one without writing?

They will, my best writing does not match up with my best section score, I am sending both tests.

Okay, that’s what I thought! Thank you and good luck! :)

You’re welcome.
