ACT/SAT: Do Colleges Look At Both

I have decent SAT I scores, but I have better ACT scores and excellent SAT II scores. Most of my colleges state that SAT II scores are optional, but since I want to send them in it would mean that both SAT I and II scores are sent. I know I will send in my ACT scores but would colleges look at both my SAT I scores and ACT scores or will they realize that my ACT scores are far better and COMPLETELY ignore my SAT I scores?

The type of colleges I am applying to include:
Johns Hopkins
Dartmouth
Cornell
Rice
Duke
Berkeley
Stanford
etc.

They will use what's best for you.

My daughter's situation was similar last year and she applied to a similar list of schools (and got many acceptances). We decided to submit all of her scores. Most of those schools want the SAT subject test scores, anyway, and her ACT score was high, so we did both. Her so-so (for those schools) SAT score didn't seem to have hurt her.
