If you take a tutoring program and then an Act prep program, can you put it in extra curriculars? or other?

Do you even put it at all?

If you take a tutoring program and then an Act prep program, can you put it in extra curriculars? or other?

Do you even put it at all?

no....don't put it in at all.

ok i have a question, so to prepare for the act, i want to take either Princeton or Kaplan classes, but i dont know which one. any idea on which one is better?

I don't know which one is better

I'm currently taking Huntington Learninng Center and is extremely good.

My sister did the full program and raised her act score from 20-25.

Personally, I found both to be a waste of my time and money. If you are seriously determined to take one, I would say that PR has the edge, but purely because Kaplan was more boring. If you are motivated enough (which you will need to be to get into a good college), you will be fine with doing lots of practice exams, because ultimately, those are what get you really familiar with the tests and allow you to improve your skills enough to raise your scores. If you can't work with the Pythagorean theorem even if your life depended on it, yea, you might want to take the course, but otherwise, don't bother, save your money for college instead.

Definitely do not put it on your app. It's not an EC at all.

Princeton Review is far better for ACT prep, so if you take a course, do PR.

so princeton review is better than kaplan? are you absolutely sure?? because my goal is anything above a 30, and im hoping i can get that

Princeton Review is widely considered to be the best for ACT prep, so yes.

I used to work for The Princeton Review, and I'd have to say that they CAN be great, but only if you have a great teacher. Same with Kaplan. Both have some great teachers and lots of lousy ones. The best advice I can give for these prep classes is to try to get recommendations from others who have had particularly good teachers, and then try to get into their classes...
