Disappointed about math, I expected my reading score (considering I forgot to do 3 problems so at the last second bubbled in randomly), but I’m ecstatic about science, where I usually get 29’s (based on the two practice tests I took)

My scores came out this morning but I wasn’t able to put them up.

E/W: 23 (24 and an 8)
M: 34
R: 30
S: 31

For a composite of 30.

Really sad about English since I studied really hard for this and got the exact same score (subscores, essay, everything). Let’s just say I refreshed the page a few times after seeing the score. Anyways math was a little disappointing since I felt that it could be the one; however, I missed 3 (wish I could see the silly errors I made). Reading was 1-2 lower than practice and Science was about on par. Overall for someone shooting for a 32, a 30 is a terribly miss. I need 8 total points from my next ACT. I was hoping I would be done with the ACT, but I was wrong.

Congratulations to all the other great scores. Specifically the English score of the poster above me that I envy ;)

Still no test results here in RI. We took a week late b/c of blizzard. Anyone else affected by blizzard get there scores yet?

I have tried to do the glitch, but I don’t really understand exactly what is the url. I do understand about replacing ID number. But there is alot of conflicting info as to what is cut and pasted. Can someone post here, the exact cut and paste, without all the extra instuctions about adding javascript, getting rid of spaces etc etc. I just can’t follow

I think ACT has now blocked ability to do work around, this is message I am getting. ANy suggestions?

Yes, there are 3 math sub-scores, and my online score report indicated that I got 18 in each sub-score, however my math score was 35, not 36. I sent in a question to ACT, and they sent back a rather generic response.

“To determine your scores on each of the four ACT tests, we first count the number of questions that you answered correctly. We do not deduct points for incorrect answers or, therefore, for guessing incorrectly. We then convert your raw scores to scale scores that have the same meaning for all forms of the tests. The scale scores range from 1 (low) to 36 (high) for each of the four tests and for the Composite. The Composite is the average of your four test scores, rounded to the nearest whole number. We compute your
seven subscores (Usage/Mechanics, Rhetorical Skills, etc.) in the same way, but subscores range from 1 (low) to 18 (high). There is no direct, arithmetic relationship between your subscores and your test scores—this means your subscores don’t add up to your test score.”

I guess they are saying that the sub-scores do not accurately reflect performance.

My son received his scores by mail on 2/28 in Texas, so watch your mailboxes, guys! This was much quicker than we expected.

A shameless brag on behalf of my son – I think this is the only safe place to brag, right?

English 29
Math 27
Reading 28
Science 29
Composite 28
Puts him in the 91st percentile.

Here is where it gets obnoxious – HE IS 12!!!

Took the ACT as part of a talent search program for gifted 7th graders. Looks like he will receive an award and get to participate in some fancy summer camps, if we can scrape up the dough ---- and drag him away from Gary’s Mod, Skyrim, Battlefield…and endless hours of Dubstep (gack, teenagers, what is that stuff? It sounds like what they’d play at a nightclub for Transformers! )

thanks for lettin me brag…and CONGRATS to all of you!!!

woot 33 composite. i have a question, do UC’s look at individual sub-scores pertaining to your major? because i am looking to major in a science-related major, but I got only 29 in my science section should i retake to get a better science score?
