Overall, a 35. Oddly enough, all my scores are the exact same as last time. I might take it once more in October, and actually study this time. Maybe I'll be able to pull up the math and science...

it was a waste of time..if anything, i did worse..wish i cancled my scores instead!! i got 2 less on my composite!! 30--28!!! it makes me soooo MAD!!!

Luigi, if you got a 32 on science, you can also do reading quickly I know that isn't completely true(but they are both 35 minutes), but maybe you need to know how you're reading these passages. Are you really getting into them and reading them slowly? I got 31 in June, you just need to read as fast as you can and highlight throughout(ie underline some key word that seems like a main point of the paragraph that would be asked in the questions) and then the rest is just how much you remembered or how well you can search for key words.

well for science i read the questions first and if need xtra support for my answer i go dig it up in the passage.

reading is a whole different story for me. i just hate how each passage is so long and i think that im not going to finish on time. If they were shorter, like the PR passages, I would finish on time and get to almost every questions. It's not the questions that are killing me (they are actually very easy), I just can't read fast enough. Maybe cuz im a slow reader iono.

Thing is, I tend to get all the science passage questions right because the reading is straightforoward to me and I think its easy. But i hate those social science passages that just include all this information that just overloads your brain (like the HOT HOV passage) and either 1)you read it very carefully, and by the time u finish it, u used up like 6 min. OR 2) you skim fast but u get confused at the end since there are too many terms to remember!

well i thought i'd share my story
In June I got a 24..after being horribly disappointed I studied and did 2 books and about 6 practice tests.
FINALLY got a 29..
E 28 +1
M 31 +4
R 31 +11 DANG i was happy lol
S 25 + 4
C 29

Hopefully I will get about a 31-32 on the act in October..I will study some more..Congrats to you 30+ guys!

I think I got 18/18 subscore on science for September. I agree with you that science is straightforward. For science, you could just go through underlining the key words and the questions would bring you back depending on how welly you highlighted. As in you dont' even really have to read too much. If the passage is about to talk about 3 types of bats, just underline that and skip it because you don't have to know about 3 types of bats while you're reading the question, you can come back to it and save time. I didn't get enough time for prose, my worst section. Those need the most time, so yeah it all depends on reading quickly and highlighting. I think some people underestimate highlighting because it makes your brain organize the passage and look at key facts instead of being confused when it looks at a passage with terms like HOV and HOT.

I just want to say that that alright vs. all right question was completely ridiculous. It's like asking if center should be spelled center or centre...

E34 (-1) Disappointing, usually make 36's on practice tests.
M31 (-2) Expected, but still sad.
R33 (-1) Disappointing, usually make 35's and 36's on practice tests.
S36 (+8) UNBELEIVABLY AWESOME.
C34 (+1) Not bad.

I was hoping for a 35, but this isn't a bad score by any means. Happy to improve, and EXTREMELY proud of 36 in Science, but I'm not throwing in the towel yet!

E:30 -> thought i did better
M:26 -> thought i did WAYY better
R:27 -> what i thought id do
S:30 -> for first time taking ACT's SOOOO HAPPY !
C:28 -> this is good for me for first/only time taking them this is soooo much better than a 1510 on the SATS !!! its a 28.25 i was sooo close to a 29 ... oh well im still happy
