ACT Scores

I've read a lot about students that have scored a33 or 34 or 35 ACTS and that ND's students range between 32-34...but do students below30 have ANY chance at all?????? What if a student is outstanding in every way...references, essay, "hook", Catholic education since kindergarten, leadership and honors...should a student both applying with a 27 or 28 or 29???? Is the only hope is that somewhere, someplace on the application that admissions finds something that makes that student worthy? Please is there anyone out there with admission stories from kids that don't have above 30 ACTS?

dont worry if the adcom thinks u are a fit, then u will be accepted. test scores dont count as much as other factors to ND ( i am speaking from personal experience, i had a low low test score, but i was admitted EA) And i will repeat the words of Irish, if there is a school out there that will accepted a great candidate with a low score, it will be ND. actually i dont no if thats the exact words but u get the idea. GL

bqwe04, were you admitted EA this year? Cause theres a post in the admissions forum where someone said that admissions told their GC that this year that there were so many EA candidates this time around that non-legacies were not considered for admssion if they didn't hace 33 ACT or higher. Are you a legacy? Cause if not, that would prove against this, unless you consider 33 a low low test score. Haha, I hope not

lol 33 is a low low test score, i think i post my stats before but ill do it again. i got 1250 on the sat out of 1600, 1800 out of 2400. i dont no what is 1250 equivalent to act score, but i am sure it is no where near 33. And i am no legacy. Hope that gives u hope.

I think there is still a chance, but all other sections of your application will have to be outstanding. I have a 32 ACT and was deferred EA.

bqwe.... did you have any interesting hooks though..... urm? or anything like that

don't give up hope....I got a 30 ACT and was admitted EA

if URM means minority, then yes

My son had the same situation but had his SAT Subject Test scores already. They were in the mid 700s. He e-maiedl his ND admissions person (you can find this on-line)and asked if the lower SAT I scores (that ND would see)would hurt him since the ACT was so much higher. The rep said to send the SAT scores and not worry that they'd see the lower SATI - she said that ND will only use the scores that will help you. He was nervous, but did what the admissions person said. He got in EA.

Go for it.

My freind got admitted EA this year with a 29...so I think trying to project who will get admitted based on ACT scores is impossible.
