Hello I'm going to apply for questbridge and I'm register to take the September 10 ACT w/writing. But have a few questions. Can I send an unofficial score report to questbridge via fax when I get my multiple choice questions graded before the deadline? Also, will my test be delayed till later since I picked to have writing with act or will I be able to retrieve my multiple choice score around the same period as everyone else?

Hi there!

I have a friend who was a QB finalist last year and will be at Princeton in the fall. She took the ACT in September, too, and told me that because QB had extended the deadline last year, she was able to send an official score report. There’s always the option of rush scoring and reporting, and that takes two weeks.

Also, writing shouldn’t affect how long it will take for the ACT to be graded. I don’t know for certain, but it seems preposterous to delay a score. I’ve yet to check this out, but if anything, you can always just write to QB and ask them if they’re open to taking your ACT score into consideration. And if you end up being a finalist anyway, colleges require that you send updated score reports, regardless of if you’re applying through the Match program or RD.
