BLEH how am i supposed to go to sleep NOW?

just going to sleep.
to all of those who aren’t happy with their scores either:
we can get past this! october here i come!

soo apparently the curve for science was pretty generous! I got a 29 on science and guessed on about 25 problems!!

your essay is a separate component. some schools look at it equally (but still separately) and some schools completely disregard it. But I am pretty sure the majority take it into light consideration. Just kind of like another score to have on your app: important, but not as important as your composite.

…guess it didn’t lol. stop stressing on your feaking scores!

Exact same score.
-signs up for October ACT- Great, now I can barely sleep.

Haha, sorry JalliDalli. It actually did. I am just at that stage in the app process where I realize that all in all, I am really not that impressive for the schools I am interested in. And with a 32, I will be getting no help from my ACT score. It is kind of just a Jaysha-being-depresso-this-month kinda thing.

But on behalf of all of us, thanks for the words of encouragement :)

Jaysha, I got a 32 too. And I’ll tell you that it’s in the Yale, princeton, harvard range. That’s all you need. I’ve been told by various people that all you need to do is be in that range and then your ACT doesn’t really have any weight anymore. After all, the colleges know it’s just a test (The Princeton Review rips on standardized tests all the time lol). So keep your head up high, you have a great score !

Thanks:) That actually is rather comforting. I am pretty sure I am done with this test:)

Good luck to us both, and sleep tight everybody. Or at least, try.

That’s exactly how I feel… I told myself no matter what september would be it. Guess I’m taking it again, one more question and I would be at a 32… I went

Disappointed to say the least.

sigh was hoping for that 35.5 but came up short… C 34.75, M34, R36, S36, W33
… Is it worth retaking for that elusive 36?

33!!!
Looks like I’m buying a #33 jersey.

So I got C 31.25, W32, M36, R25, S32.
If I’m applying to engineering schools, how much would my high math and science scores help, despite 31 ACT? So like for engineering at Cornell, Olin College, UPenn, CMU, Stanford, USC…

my last ACT:
29 E, 31 M, 26 R, 22 S … 27 C

Today
34 E, 34 M, 30 R, 29 S … 32 C !!!

5 PT JUMP!!!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

C-32!!!

I’ll get the other scores later! Too excited with my 32… Is this better than my 2050 for sat?

2nd time.

R-30
S-29

Still waiting on essay

What do people think about applying early d but taking the october test? how does that usually work? and is anyone considering having their test hand scored, I feel like there has to be a mistake…

@Justin - Don’t. I’m in the same situation w/my composite. Better ways to spend 4 hours and 40 bucks, IMO. Take it for what it’s worth.

@jd - Congrats, playa. That’s something to be proud of. Use it well.

Anyway, I’m glad I’m done with this test. Bed now.

1st time. I had no idea what to expect from the test since I took no practices. I had taken an SAT before so I knew roughly what to expect from math/reading, but science really threw me off.

R: 35
E: 31
M: 30
S: 30
C: 32

Not bad. Hoped for a 33 but can’t complain with a 32.
