haha 75? wow. thats not tooooo many......

UT football= sweetness lol... but yes nmatth ill try to start looking into LA studies ASAP! we shall discuss it tomorrow!

and jmanco49...205 10 times on bench?? thats impressive

thanks.

but i play d tackle.

I'm going to be going against people who are way stronger than me.

Of course, I do go to a prep school football conference, where noone really is that good, but next year I'm going to have to go against a guy who signed onto play d1 football at tcu during junior year.

He's like 6-7, 295.

wow thats crazy...i play cornerback and im a 2year starter for us..we're 5a in oklahoma..which is the second highest class...ive covered guys going to a lot of colleges...only played against a couple of d1 guys...but i get to play against a slew of them this coming year..my bench max is about 215....but i also weigh 160

what's your 40 time?

havent clocked since last year and i ran a 4.72 then...not very fast...but im white lol..you a starter?

that's pretty good, actually.

senior year I'll start. or at least I am pretty sure I will.

well i have to cover guys who run 4.4s lol

thats good, what grade are you in?

football has definetely taught me some good life lessons about dealing with disappointment, which in hindsight I am grateful for now. I learned to not quit and to deal with things not going your way.

Now, when something doesn't go my way, like when I didn't get elected senior prefect, all the other people who weren't elected were devastated but I was able to just brush it off cuz I'd already learned to deal with disappointment

12 next year

yeah football can definitely teach you some good lessons, contrary to the general "jock" label...senior prefect is like captain i'm assuming?

senior prefect means student council member for senior class

oh i thought you were still talking about football, my bad.

Since there seems to be some jocks on here, I had a question. How much stock do colleges put in students who play multiple sports? Because when I graduate, I will have 10 varsity letters in cross country, basketball, and baseball. Sports take ALOT of time out my life that I could be padding my resume with. Of course, I would rather be on the baseball diamond or basketball court than tutoring or something. I was just wondering if sports help you, and if so, how much?

from around the forums and stuff...sports actually look good to colleges..it shows youre well rounded, have leadership and commitment values, and to some colleges, may show youre not just a complete nerd lol. but the 10 varsity letters should definitely help your resume quite a bit! maybe not for the ivies as much as other colleges.
