I took the ACT math without a calculator because I brought a TI-89 which I didn't realize was not allowed. I ended up getting a 29 on it. After retaking it, with a proper calculator, I got a 34. Would it have been worth it to tell them in additional info that my first score was without a calculator?

I have already applied EA, but I am worried I won't get in. I am wondering if doing this would have increased my chances or if, since there is no way to prove it, they would have just ignored it.

It’s too late to tell them anything. Plus they only look at the highest section scores. I know that because when i toured, the adcom says the only thing they see is your highest scores from either test. I’m pretty sure 34 ACT math is a great score. Probably around 750 SAT math, so theirs no problem there.

GT will not recalculate your score. I think

They do recalculate. They do what’s called a super super score according to the woman at one of the info sessions I attended. So you could have a really high ACT math and a really high SAT reading score and they’ll recalculate and act as if it’s just one score. There should be an ACT to SAT converter online that they provide on one of their pages but I’m not able to find that right now
