Congrats @SFSClark ! I live blocks from CCM. PM me if you have any questions about Cincinnati.
@SFSClark. Congratulations to your and your son! The first acceptance is the sweetest! Enjoy the moment. Thanks for sharing.
My D has been accepted at 1 BFA - University of Evansville, which only takes 6 girls, and 2 BA schools - Susquehanna and DeSales so far. She is still deciding whether to go with the stronger academic BA route or the more technical BFA route. The high school she attends has a combined arts and academics focus. She has been rejected at several schools through prescreens and unifieds, which is devastating and demoralizing. But this is the field they are choosing. She is a petite, white blonde as are so many other really talented young women. We are thankful that she already has options for high quality acting in college.
We have found the process to be challenging and fair. New York Unifieds were not as crazed as we anticipated. People were very nice. The on campus experiences at NYU, Muhlenberg, DeSales and University of Michigan were all friendly and supportive. The coaches are invaluable. Shout out to Mary Anna Dennard.
Good luck (BAL) to all as the audition season continues and best wishes for everyone finding a program that is a good fit.
@diamondparent congratulations! If our kids can get into just one great program, we can relax a little. Your daughter has to be special if she caan be accepted to a program with such a tiny acceptance of accepted students. Well done.
Congratulations, @diamondparent ! Have you visited Evansville yet? It is a lovely campus and we found both the faculty and students in the theatre department welcoming and very professional. The theatre students seemed like a very close-knit bunch that really enjoy their work. Also nice that they offer the strict BFA but also the performance with a minor option.
I am trying to update the list. I hope @diamondparent and @SFSClark don’t mind!

Never mind.
She’s looking forward to visiting schools that she is accepted to. She has not visited Evansville yet, but has heard very good things about it.
@ginaf1102 congrats on LMU! That’s our first overlap may we all have some!
Thanks, @FourStars. LMU seemed like a good idea when she applied - but now that it is real, not so much. Having my child on the opposite coast seems like torture.
@diamondparent Where and When did you D audition at Evansville?
She auditioned at NYC unifieds. Did your child audition or do you have any insights on Evansville?
@StewNChelle and @diamondparent , Evansville parent here – D1 is a senior. D2 also recently auditioned and was accepted. Let me know if I can help with anything.

Congratulations @DoinResearch. I like their program
Thanks! @actingdreams It came with a nice talent award. Kid1 has 2 more results pending, and then I’m sure the aid packages may eliminate some, but we’re pleased that there’s acceptance options. He’s doing a great job not getting attached to any one school because he’s all in for maxing financial aid. Proud of him. 1 scholarship audition left, and we’re done. Eyeing the calendar for admitted students days, hoping for no more than 2 trips there. Glad we’re not traveling this weekend.
I love their campus. Thrilled for you
Congrats @DoinResearch! That is great news! It sounds like great progress!
@DoinResearch - congrats to your S! Looks like he’ll have a nice list of options (and scholarships)!
