Acting MFA programs/Screenwriting

Hi everyone,

I'm a perspective MFA student from the UK, and I'm looking to garner some information and opinions on the top acting/screenwriting MFA programs in the US?

I'd also be eternally grateful if anyone had advice on the application and audition process; any tips, tricks or handy hints to make everything run smoothly would be wonderful!

And if there is anyone enrolled in these programs, do they have advice on funding for them?

Ben.

I should also add that I have a first class honours degree from the University of Warwick, with a year abroad at UW-Madison, which is kind of like a 4.0 equivalent. So I wondered if, like with the BA/BFA programs, there were any more academic programs which I could apply to as well, perhaps providing good funding/scholarship options.

Although, my degree was in the entirely unrelated subject of history and politics, in which case, maybe an MFA isn’t the best place to start?

I’ve recently been looking at acting schools and conservatories, and wondered how these compared with more tradition grad schools and mfa programs, reputation wise, final qualifications, and career prospects etc.

Thanks for all your help!
