Caltech supplement asks me to list my activities again. I have listed them in common application. Therefore, should I list my other activities in Caltech supplement or just write the same thing as in common app.

I think you should list your most important math/science ones. On the common app, you probably have less focused extracurriculars.

However, there is a problem. I not just apply to Caltech. The other universities do not give me the same place to write my activities down in supplement.

Put the activities you want on all of your applications on Commonapp. Then, put the activities that are most important to you on the supplement, focusing on the math/science. Are there repeats? PROBABLY! Don't worry about it! They ask you this probably because they want an easy way of categorizing your ECs- ok, here are the math/science ones, here are the other ones. they probably don't look at the ones you put on commonapp nearly as much. Anyway, I am pretty sure I completely repeated all or most of my activities on the supplement, and that was fine.

I put the mega listign in the common app addnl info section.

On the CALTECH supplement, I excerpted the specific portions
with the preamble that it was being repeated from the common app
addnl. info section....

:)

What happens if our top 3 math/science activities happen to also be the top 3 things we put on common app? In fact, what happens if most of our common app activities list was math/science stuff anyway? Would repeating all 3 activities seem dull? As in, what’s the point of asking for the info again anyway, if the activities were already ranked in order of importance on CommonApp, anyway?
