Activities order of importance

Hi
So I just realized that the Common App asks you to organize to order you activities in the order of importance to you. I did not see this instruction at all, and submitted my ED app like a week ago already. I ended up having the activity that means the most to me as like second one from the top. Is the order really that important? I happened to have written my essay about that particular important activity....

Maybe I am just killing myself over nothing...
Thanks!

Don’t worry. A lot of people have posted already this year that they overlooked the order of activities instruction. Your admissions officers will understand.

Thanks for the response.
I don’t want to sound bitter, but won’t you guys agree that the common app hasn’t really done a good job giving clear instructions in obvious places?

It’s still my fault for overlooking though.

You are so right, the new common app has a lot of issues. Many have been fixed over the past few months, but there is still a lot of work to be done.

The order is totally arbitrary. It is good to list the more important ones up front as the adcom may only scan the top of the list as they assume it is in that order. Having the most important activity for you on the second spot is not a problem.
