yeah i got 26.....i'll take in april too

29, taking again sometime in future before graduation

31....not happy about it. Taking it again in April.

r u all seniors? what's the point of taking it again so late?

i'm a junior....

30... Blah. But I'm not sending this to any college... just wondering if I should retake or stick to the SAT.

just wondering, can you hold back act scores?

Yes, as long as you didn't check off/fill in those boxes submitting your scores to colleges and your high school while registering.

I got a 31, and I was happy with it. I will take it again in April and possibly June. Every point helps I figure, so I try again.

Hmm, how important are ACTs? Can I just send in SAT scores? Well yes I know I can, but is it better to have both ACTs and SATs?

It depends on the school. Sometimes it's better to send the ACT alone, especially if the ACT score was high. If your SAT Score is low, don't send it. If you send both, schools on the east and west coast will give more consideration to your SAT score more than the ACT score.

I don't think you have a choice in sending in SAT scores...

Does anyone know what a 31 on the ACT is comparable to for the SAT?

27:(:(:( Definitley will take again, I really wanted at least 30! At least they were all pretty close to even. I'm only a sophomore though so I have 2 more years to improve I think. Might try prepping next time:)

At some schools Brown and Yale for sure you can submit the ACT and not have to take the 3 SAT IIs which saves alot of money.

That's very cool-sounding. Do you have a list of those schools? Or know where one can find such a list? I've tried googling, but no site gave me specific college names.

I don't but all the schools I applied to accepted the ACT and I did not have to submit SAT IIs unless I took the SAT and submitted that. Brandeis, Tufts, Vandy, NYU, Brown, and schools in MS which y'all aren't interested in so there you go. If you look at the website of schools you are interested in they usually list the required tests there. I know that Wake only accepts the SAT and nothing else. Duke is another school that does the ACT thing.

has ANyone here gotten higher than a 33 on this feb.'s test?

Check the Official Score thread... There's quite a few.
