ACT-33 (I don’t remember the breakdown besides a 35 in reading)

Senior year course load: AP; Calc, microeconomics, US history. Justice (online through harvard edx), mythology and band
Have taken all honors classes that the school offers and after next year all AP that the school offers

Recs 12/10 my AP Lang teacher, knows me extremely well, said he wanted me to get in more than he wanted his daughter to get in. (She graduated last spring from Harvard)

ACCEPTED: BC NYU URochester, UMASS CHC, Fordham, Wheaton.
DENIED: Vanderbilt and Dartmouth
WAITLISTED: UPENN, Harvard, Columbia.
Why? I think my scores are little low and I come from a small public school with a dearth of capability’s regarding AP opportunity, subsequently it is difficult to have a strong showing. I think for my target schools my EC’s GPA and recs did it, but for my reaches that just wasn’t enough. That said we’ve had one student get into an Ivy League school from my town in the last ten years and being this close, although disheartening is also encouraging. I’ll make the best of wherever I wind up hope this helps a nervous junior like me.
