Hello, I’m currently taking a winter intersession course. The course is a part of my IGETC and the class will be finished before the UC TAU deadline. However, grades won’t be out until after the deadline. If I know what grade I would be getting for the course should I put the grade in. It would boost my GPA, but I’m not sure if that be legal. Or should I just leave the course as IP since it doesn’t seem right to update grades without officially getting the grade?
They only count GPA through fall. However, when you get the grade go back up to TAU and note it. They usually extend the deadline past January. Whatever cut-off date they establish, if it is past that date send an email to every UC to which you applied. They won’t calculate it into the GPA but it is at their discretion as to how they use the info.
Ah ok, that makes sense. I shall do that, thanks!
