Hello CCers, I have a question for you guys.

In my additional info, I just put a continuing list of non-academic awards and some more activities that I could elaborate on. I assume that is okay?

The real question, however, is a specific item. I produce music electronically (EDM, house, dubstep, mashups), and right now, I have a link to my soundcloud page featuring some music. Would this be a not-so-good idea to do, or would it be helpful to my application? Thanks!

My D has a link for a “video highlights” of the short films she has created; she was told not to put the link in her additional info, but instead, for those schools who use SlideRoom or list other ways for “arts supplements” - to provide the info that way.

Alright… Well the issue is that I already am submitting a music supplement for instrumental music (classical). Should I just not include the link to my soundcloud?

I hope someone with music/arts experience will provide some sound advice. My take is not to overkill the adm officers. If you are already submitting a music supplement, then maybe not a link. HOWEVER, if you are applying to a music school, conservatory or music program within a larger university, then absolutely put the link in.

Alright. Thanks for your input. Anybody have any second opinions?
