Admission criteria: OOS v. In-State

GPA; ACT (or SAT) scores; Number of Extracurriculars, etc.
Many State schools have different admission criteria for those applying from in-state versus OOS (e.g. UCal, UNC-Chapel Hill, UVA). Does anyone know if this is the case at UDUB? If so, what is/are the difference(s)?

It is a misconception that it is always easier for in state students to get in to OOS state schools. Colleges need the money, and want people throughout the country to be represented. However, UW slightly favors in-state students, although there is no specific criteria for admissions.

I never thought, nor did I state “that it is always easier for in state students to get in to OOS state schools.” However, schools like Chapel Hill, UVA, and UCLA clearly have a double standard. Thank you for your answer regarding UW.

This article supports the idea that it is harder for OOS students to get into UW: http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/education/uw-sees-18-rise-in-applications-to-be-a-husky/
