We’re still waiting…

MLM: Congratulations! I am curious, is your D going to accept?

My son received his acceptance letter that was dated 3/27 on Friday afternoon which stated he needed to submit his enrollment deposit (decide) by 3/31. It was a very quick turnaround.

Transfer students, where are you planning on living?

@ Transmom - no, D isn’t going to accept. Sonoma was her first choice, but while waiting so long she began thinking of alternatives. She’s decided to attend our local community college for two years and get an AA-T (transfer) then attend SFSU.

I was admitted as well! I am a transfer-I accepted—and will be living in the transfer housing in the Fall. I’ve heard great things about the transfer housing! I’ll be attending the SSU day on the 13th to tour them.

Congratulations to all! :)

sdunn1-one of my very good friends was a CSA (RA) in the transfer housing last year. It was a really great building and they had a really amazing community. Hopefully it’s still doing well :)

If I can answer any questions from a new alum perspective don’t be shy!

MLM - you should encourage her to attend the Seawolf Decision Day Saturday, maybe she’ll change her mind.

Transfering isn’t the slam dunk it is made out by many to be and it is very easy to get off track at a community college.

HisGraceFillsMe or other current/past students: What are the chances of getting a single room in the transfer housing if you are an older student? Is there a way to find out if you could get one before you sign the contract. And how easy is it to find off campus housing? Where would you recommend? Thank you for all your help.

There are three transfer housing opens and all three offer singles. I would say it is fairly easy to get a single.
Off campus housing isn’t too difficult to find. However, most people are signing contracts and moving in May/June, so open housing in August would be more difficult to find, but not impossible. It would be difficult to find roommates is August, however.

Flute loop: are you still open to showing off your dorm on Saturday? We are going to Seawolf Day on Saturday, but i still haven’t seen a schedule for the day yet

Yes. I’m free now until 1:50 and then I’m free again 3:10 to 5:30. I’ll be in my dorm, I live in Tuscany (upperclassman dorms) Rhone 404 so you can just drop in. My name is Elizabeth.
I’ll be at the SCTA club table from 2 to 3 as well.

Flute loop: sorry we missed you today and we probably saw you at your table and didn’t even know!

We visited today with our D and she really likes the school. We visited Verdot and Zinfandel where D would live as a freshman

Are you in Education major also? My D wants to get a single subject credential.

I’m a music education major. It is almost like a double major because I have to take music classes, music education classes, education classes, and my general education classes! So I have not taken education classes yet, but I will be starting that track in the fall.

The single subject credential program is great and I will be getting my credential here as well.
