Admission for TAMS

Hi everyone! This is Harumi!
I'm in eighth grade and I'm trying to get accepted into TAMS in my 10th grade. Here are my grades this year, 8th grade.

LA: 97
Math/Algebra I: 95
Science: 96
Social Studies: 98

I took the SAT in 7th grade 'cause I was part of the Duke TIP Talent Search. I was in 40th percentile for math, 38th percentile in reading and 45th percentile in writing. I'm not sure about my actual scores though.

I'm very shy, so the number of ECs I have are very low, but here they are.

Japanses classes
Singer of the month; Choir
Piano classes
Kumon grader

Is that too little? What must I do to bring the number of ECs to a higher, more acceptable level?

I took a practice SAT on my own last week and here are my scores. I prepared for two weeks before I took the practice SAT.

Total: 1540
M:640
R:400
W:500

I'm following the 8-week plan on majortests.com for the SAT. Please tell me what I should do in the next two years to help my admission for TAMS!

Just so you guys know, I'm in 8th grade. I still have two years to prepare!

Try to maintain all A’s. But if you get some B’s that’s okay too. I had at least one B every year from 7th-10th grade, and I got into TAMS. Also, get a good score on the math portion of your SAT (at least a 600 which is what you have now) I got a 1730 on my SAT. Try to do at least one extra curricular and earn some awards. But, focus on your grades more.

I had my poem published in a competition, I was nominated for a National Language Arts Award. I’m very close to all of my teachers (does that matter?). I made it into Region Choir two times, first in 15th chair and second in 5th chair. I can’t think of anything else now. (T_T)
