Admission ID and PW?

Carothetaro: That's so sad and, yes, very rude of her! Whatever, just forget about it.

Anyway, my interview went really well and it was the only interview that I had off-campus for any of my schools. It was on Superbowl night (right towards the end of the game, lol) and the Caribou (MN Starbucks) was completely empty and, on top of that, he was wearing a Duke sweatsuit. He bought my drink as well! haha.

He was so nice; I was a bit nervous because his emails were really formal and scary. haha. He was so laid-back though, it was really cool. He knew one of the teachers who wrote a rec for me (she went to Duke; haha, and he asked why she wasn't on the alum committee). Everything was just great, I brought "Bonfire of the Vanities" because I thought I was a little early, but he was already there so we started talking about it.

I think the best thing is the fact that we really got talking about my ancestry (Native American), which was hard to explain on the CommonApp. I think he probably wrote something about that in his paragraph (though he never told me he was going to write something to Duke.....) and he even said that my ancestry and location could considerably help my chances at Duke (because most Native applicants come from NC).

Looking back, it was a great experience. Lol, but did anyone's interviewer say s/he would have decisions before us? Hmm, I'll have to ask my friend who had an interview with him as well.

Also, on another note, I have an interesting story that's actually kind of funny.

My parents and I visited Duke last week and after the tour I went back to the admissions office. I am applying for an IHS Scholarship and Mr. McLaughlin wrote something up saying that I applied to Duke (because the deadline for this scholarship is the 28th). I just asked him to sign it when I visited and he was really nice and he was really busy so he took his time to sign it. He signs his emails as "Senior Associate Director" so I just thought of him as that. However, when I got home, I searched his name on Duke.edu and he is the Native American undergrad recruiter! hah. That must have been why he replied to my email (IHS=Indian Health Service). That's great......:).

I also asked if he could capitalize the "v" in my last name (because my interviewer said they would fix that) and, what do you know, I checked VIP (and my password for checking the decision) and my V is capitalized!

YES, good news! :D! haha.
