Admission/Scholarship Essay Topics 2012

<p>To those parents of seniors who have knowledge of the essay topics your kids were asked to write about for college admissions or scholarships . . . would you mind sharing the essay question(s)/topic(s) and the name of the school? Not how they responded, just the question. :)</p>

<p>I’ve seen a couple of the questions/topics mentioned on other threads . . . although I’m sure they change from year to year, I thought it might be helpful if the Class of 2013 had some idea of what’s ahead in the next 8-12 months . . . possibly do a little brainstorming when they have free time, or just jot down an idea if something comes to them. </p>

<p>I’d be glad to compile all the responses so they’re all on one nice list to be presented to the kids. My S will be thrilled. ;)</p>

<p>You could get a lot by going to the Common App and looking at all the supplements. Anybody can get an account, and I think you can look at all the documents even without an account. There are several topic choices (choose one) for the common essay, and many schools have supplemental questions.</p>

<p>What I remember from a couple years ago is “Why this school”, “Why your major”, “How do you play with math & science”.</p>
