Admissions and sports

How do you get recruited for a particular sport and how will that affect your application process? Also when do you find out if you have been admitted?

you get recruited like any other school. the coaches watch you play. if you want them to watch you, you can call your admissions counselor and ask for that coach's name and number, then just call the coach. recruited athletes are more likely to get in, they have it easier. but once you get in here, they have it harder because they have games and stuff, along with school. you can't really count practice, because everybody else still has to go work out.
you will know if you are accepted once you finish the candidate packet, recieve a congressional letter, and then the admission board deems you a good enough person to recieve the honors of the greatest education! :) candidate packets come out whenever the board decides you are competitive for an appointment, congressional letters come out anywhere between Nov. through Jan. then the acceptance letter comes when the board decides for you to get it, usually mid March.
