Admissions Criteria Question?

As it reads on the website, it looks like a SAT of 1090+ on the math/reading along with core courses completion results in admission? Is there an GPA requirement for the HS record?

My daughter scored 1120 on the 2 parts and completed the core classes with 3.0 GPA.

She is, however, applying as a transfer. She will have 24 college credits to transfer, despite this being her first semester at college, due some college credits earned in HS. Her first semester college GPA is 3.56 and she did take the one of the required classes for transfer - college writing and received a B+ (website states at least a C- is required).

I feel this looks pretty promising?? She is applying for Fall 2014.

Anyone have any insight? Someone from admissions, in response to an email she sent, indicated they might need to see her spring grades?? She is really not comfortable waiting that long for a decision, as she hopes to secure housing and also try out for the cheerleading program (which has tryouts in early May - and only open to admitted students).

Thanks!

This is from their website: If she meets these requirements she should be good

"Transfer applicants to Mizzou must have a minimum 2.5 GPA in college-level courses to be admissible. Transfer applicants who don’t also meet Mizzou’s freshman admission requirements must have completed at least 24 college-level credits and one of the following:

A college algebra course with a grade of C- or better; or
The equivalent of Mizzou’s English 1000 with a grade of C- or better."

Yes, I have seen that. She was feeling pretty positive that she stood a good chance at admission. However, the admissions rep (despite clarifying that she met this criteria) mentioned possibly needing to see spring grades. I know they need to obviously review your actual submitted information and can’t simply respond to an email inquiry about requirements (she was asking if they needed HS trans) with “you’re good”. But I was just wondering if it was typical to ask for spring grades.

She applied and I guess we shall see!

So she got letter today deferring her for spring grades. I don’t understand at all.

Her SAT on math and reading was 1120. In excess of the 1090 stated for freshman admission with the core classes. She had taken the core.

She has 24 college credits. Her GPA at her community college is a 3.58 and she is on the Deans List. She took the required “english or algebra class with at least a C-” , she got B+.

She meets both the freshman and transfer requirement.

To attend a college very far from home (we are in NY) and not find out until end of May or early June is just not an option when she has been accepted elsewhere.

Calling tomorrow because this just makes no sense to me.

After speaking with admissions she was admitted, so very happy! Of course, about a week later she was admitted to University of South Carolina (they had previously asked for spring grades as well) - so now she is very torn about which school to attend.
