has anyone heard yet?
I heard about the honors college last year on December 18th. My regular admission notification was December 2nd. This is just an idea for you guys. I would assume that the hurricane from October pushed things back a bit. I know many professors who were still trying to get caught up with grading and meetings since then, so if professors are backed up I would think that the admissions office would have been too! I know honors is backed up too. They recently just started going through honors apps. I would assume that decisions should be mailed next week. They’re usually mailed before Christmas, but there’s no telling if they’ll stick with that this year.
@Chopinspiano do you hear online before you get a letter normally?
@becca662 the letter should come first. They send emails and letters. The portal only tells you if a decision has been made(at least that’s how it was last year).
The FB page of the Honors College said notifications decisions for EA acceptance to the College will be out by the end of December and Honors acceptances will be out by the end of January.
I applied to the College on November 16th, in time for scholarship consideration, so does anyone know if I would receive my decision before someone who, say, applied in December or does it go into a random pool since I applied after the EA deadline? Basically, are decisions announced chronologically?
First batch gets sent out tomorrow
@Spencerdw How do you know?
I spoke to someone in the admissions department
@Spencerdw That’s great news! Thank you so much
No problem!
@Spencerdw Do you know if they will come by email, portal or in the mail ?
I was informed that they send out the packet via mail then send an email. People from years passes said that the portal was the last to update, if it even did. Id say to look for the mail first then email.
Snail mail first , then email later
Thank you both @Spencerdw & @carolinamom2boys

I don’t think that there are rolling admissions @VeniceMate . I’m not certain though.
I heard from someone in admissions that we should be getting letters around the end of the week and at latest, early next week. Fingers crossed.
I received my acceptance letter today in the mail.
Congrats, are you in state or OOS?
