Did anyone hear about acceptance in to Pace yet? My son’s audition is in January and he has not heard about acceptance into the college yet. Was just wondering…He has been accepted to his other 2 choices but not Pace yet.

My daughter heard last week that she was accepted academically (she applied back in early Sept). But she won’t have her audition for MT until late January.

I haven’t heard about academic acceptance yet either, good to know i’m not the only person wondering about it.

Ty Claire and VK…this info helps…my son is worried since he hasnt heard yet…I hope it is soon!! VK if you dont mind me asking…what kind of student is your daughter? My son is an honor student…but time is ticking away and he is a little nervous!!

VK I just found your post on the honors college thread…Congrats to your daughter…My son is an honor student but would not be at the top for the honors college. From the looks of it, all of the honors college acceptance letters went out first. so now we wait…thanks again

Mominpa1, my daughter has taken honors courses and AP courses in HS and did very well with them. She is excited about Pace’s honors college. But she still has to make it over the biggest hurdle…the audition in January. (spring has always been my favorite season…but this year I am looking forward to it even more so…) You might want to call the admissions office just to ask about the honors college.

Mominpa1,
I’m also a student who is very eagerly awaiting academic notification from Pace. I also would be qualified for Honors College but have not yet been notified. From what I have read, many people who are in the Honors college don’t find out until January which is when you are supposed to hear back from Pace by anyways.

My daughter also got her acadmeic acceptnace to the Honors college on Saturday. We are from the North East.

i also got accepted to pace’s honors college!
Besides the research opportunities and the $15k, is there anything else required? Any other perks/disadvantages??

You get a free laptop and a ton of free tickets to movies, Broadway shows, and other NYC events!
Oh and you get to register and pick dorms before everyone else.

Still no news from them…

Wow that’s cool! Are the Honors courses difficult? What’s your usual workload or whats the difference between a regular course and an Honors one?

The Honors courses can vary in difficulty. There are usually some very prestigious teachers for the honors courses, and the courses are usually multi-pronged in their work requirements. i.e: you’ll not only have a classwork aspect, but a lab aspect, and also a volunteer aspect.
There is a higher standard for honors college students. Some “regular” classes require the same amount of work as the honors classes, but some “regular” classes don’t require as much writing or out of class work.

Daughter just received a phone call from Amy Rogers who runs the musical theatre dept today informing her of her acceptance into the MT Program!

I was accepted into the school and the honors program awhile back, but just received from Amy Rogers today notifying me of my acceptance into MT! :]
congrats to your daughter hippietheatermom. she must be just as excited as i am! :]]

I Got a phone call too!! Where else did u apply to CCer2014?

D also got acceptance into honor’s college and is awaiting notification from Theater department. This is the most frustrating process ever. Trying to stay calm and keep D calm but this is such pressure.

I was just wait listed at Pace! I am so excited to still be in consideration. Does anyone know how large the waiting list is? Or when we should hear? Thank you :D

Did you get a letter in the mail?

I got a medium size letter today, I thought it was just scholarship info because I figured the whole class heard, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a wait list letter.
