Admissions Interview

I have an interview scheduled with a university I am applying to this week. The interview is with an admissions fellow with the office of admissions. Not an alumni interview. It is going to be at a local coffee shop. Can anyone tell me what to expect? Is it expected of me to bring an academic resume or something of that nature? How should I dress? Is just business casual good? Also, would it be a smart idea to arrive slightly early and buy my coffee and just wait around? I know she has like 3 other students scheduled before me that afternoon from what she said in the email.

Any help or insight on what to expect would be very much appreciated as this is my first admissions interview.
Thank you!!!

Business casual is fine. If you have some kind of resume, bring it, but it is okay if you don’t. I agree on coming a bit early (10-15 minutes)to place your order and get settled with your drink (cool enough to sip), that is good. You are likely to get questions about your extra curricular activities, what you might want to study, or what you are looking for in a college. I think most admissions officers hope to have a real conversation with a student, not just get short answers, so feel free to expound a bit on your answers.

Thanks for the info! Greatly appreciated! :)
