I just wanted to start a thread to see if anybody had any offical word on when the bulk of admissions letters are being mailed, how they're arriving, when they've arrived, etc.

If anybody has any information to contribute, please do so.

Vanderbilt Decisions to be Mailed March 30

I was at an information session at the Vanderbilt Admissions Office today (3/23). A question was asked when regular decision letters would be mailed. The admissions officer answered:

All will be mailed on Wednesday, March 30.

Some decisions were finalized as late as today.

The decisions will not be conveyed by email.

The decisions will not be online.

The decisions will not be released by phone to callers.

Unlike ED (where both positive and negative decision letters are relatively thin), thick letters/packets are positive, thin letters are negative (just like the stereotype).

Later I heard the receptionist telling callers that the letters will be mailed April 1, but I think that was just the general line; I believe that the officer was telling the truth that they will be mailed on March 30.

So wait for your mail; there is nothing else to be done.
