This is probably a stupid question, but when writing the address on an envelope is it common practice to include "Attention: Admissions Office,"for example

XYZ College
Attention: Admissions Office
123 Street
City, State Zip Code

because on the common app, when you click on a college from the My Colleges List, it gives you the address, and "Attention: Admissions Office" was included. I've just never seen that before

I don't think that's common, but I'm not really sure...I just looked on the individual schools' websites and they usually listed an address for the admissions office there. They usually just began with the name of the school, and then "office of admissions" or something to that effect below that. For example, Columbia's was:

Columbia University
Office of Undergraduate Admissions
1130 Amsterdam Avenue, MC 2807
New York, NY 10027

If it is listed that way on the CA site, that is what I would use. Also, you can go to the school's admissions site and confirm that. I've seen that way of addressing applications before.
