admissions packet

When should I expect to receive my admissions packet? Is it sent via priority mail? Also, does anyone know when we should be receiving financial aid award information?

Financial Aid should arrive within the week. You will get the "Case for Cornell" in the next one or two weeks as well.

Do ED students get the same Case for Cornell?

that's a good question...one I don't know the exact answer too. Although...since you've already deposited, I assume you will receive the "Cornell Bound" packet which contains info on housing, dining and other assorted goodies.

does cornell post financial aid awards online anywhere?

hmmm...not sure about that. But, once you get your NetID (after you deposit) you will be able to use Just the Facts to access your FA package via the desktop client or online.

Too bad Cornell doesn't send a big admissions packet like other schools to ED kids. Its kind of a right of passage.

Did any ED accepted students (or anyone else , for that matter)get their NetID's yet?

NetIDs will come sometime after the RD kids make their deposits....sometime around late-April to May. Unless policies have changed...the NetID packet will arrive via the postal service.

please, someone just call and ask when the packets were sent or are going to be sent. i really need to know how much FA i am offered.

yep, my concern as well

Is there any way to know online what FinAid is offered or do we have to wait for the packet?

anyone please!

Why not just call yourself if you're so desperate?

It will be a lot cheaper if someone in America calls.

I got the Case for Cornell packet today, but it hasn't got any information on my FA!! Is it(FA) supposed to come with the Case for Cornell, in which case I should call them, or does it come separately?

TCFC comes seperately from Finaid. They're two differen mailings from two different departments.

I thought the Case for Cornell packet is sent only after sending in the deposit...am I mistaken? Also, was it sent via priority mail or first class mail?

The Case for Cornell comes before the deposit. You get the Cornell Bound after the deposit. The packet came via International priority airmail.

I am a ED accepted applicant and I got my Case for Cornell packet TODAY. I did not receive any financial information, but rumor is that The FA office is four weeks behind. They are working as fast as they can. The Case for Cornell is priority mail US also.
