The target number for the Class of 2016 is around 600 students for September admission and 100 for February, continuing a trend of increasing enrollments. Because Admissions aims to fill 45 to 48 percent of the class through Early Decision I and II, they are expecting around 300 of the Regular Decision admits to accept their offer of admission, resulting in a yield of around 27 percent of the approximately 1100 Regular Decision admits.

Thanks for sharing that, Modadunn. Interesting stuff. It’s kinda killing me that I’m not sure my D’s going to manage to get a second look at Middlebury. It was the first college that we visited that really got her excited, but that was a long time ago now (spring break last year). I gather your S has had a great experience there?

Rayrick - I could possibly write their marketing material I am that big of a fan of the school.

However, I know what you mean about early loves. S never saw Midd until he had been accepted, but had another earlier school that I thought would be top of his list. It was odd that it fell to three when all the acceptances came in. While I can speak highly about Midd at the drop of a hat, I will also admit that there are a lot of great schools and fit should be paramount when choosing from good options. S probs would have done well academically wherever he went to college if I am honest, but the relationships with professors and the opportunities for a lot of other stuff specific to Midd? I can’t say, but I am so glad it’s happening. His professors are, in a word, awesome.
