Admissions Statistics for Class of 2015

^now doubt = no doubt

According to US News, these are the stats for the class of 2015 (enrolled students)

Harvard middle 50% SAT
1390-1590

Students in top 10% of graduating class:
96%

Columbia middle 50% SAT
1390-1570

Students in top 10% of graduating class:
98%

Not sure how you can say one group is “hands down” above the other. They are basically the same.

yoda, the USNWR that was just released does not include stats for the class of 2015 that entered this fall

The admissions rate is not current. In any event, Columbia’s statistics have only gone up since last year, so if the rest of US News information lags one to two years, the class of 2015 would be even more selective than what is indicated in US News.

On another note, for the class of 2015 Columbia had only 21 fewer applicants than Harvard (34,950 versus 34,929). Even if Columbia took 200 off the wait list (which has not been verified by anyone) and no other school took any off the wait list (which again has not been verified by anyone), Columbia would still have an admissions rate of 7.5%.

The Harvard posters are insecure about Columbia - well well, I’m not the only one who thinks Columbia is going places.

“On another note, for the class of 2015 Columbia had only 21 fewer applicants than Harvard (34,950 versus 34,929).”

That’s kind of amazing.
