I am going to be applying in a couple months. I am currently a junior and will be applying for the fall of 2016. When should I be expecting to hear back about my admission and financial matters? I heard UW takes a long time.
For admission, it was 3 months. All in on Oct 3 and decision the week before Christmas.
The earliest decisions come out about Halloween for students with a strong application who apply early. But in can take much longer.
Woud the financial aid award affect your decision on accepting an offer of admission?
Yes, depending on the financial aid offered by other schools. Regardless of how much I want to go to Madison, I need to be pragmatic about paying for my education
Are you a Wisconsin resident, what is your projected FAFSA EFC, and how much can you and your parents pay each year for 4 years?
Wisconsin resident. I’m not sure about my FAFSA projections but with a father who is a cop and a stay at home mom, I will be paying for most of it by myself
