Admissions

I go to a rural school that only offers a couple of AP's. I've done small science projects, but no major research or national science/math competitions. My math scores are really low (650) and I'm taking the SATII's next test date. I really, really want to go to CalTech, but I know how difficult it is to get in. If I can't raise my math score to a perfect or near perfect range, is there anything else I can do to improve my chances?
Thank you

"math scores are really low (650)" -- with this score, your probability of getting in is very very low. If you get it up to about 720, then you will have a fighting chance. You really must take some advanced courses at some local college to show initiative, or something of that nature -- SOMETHING to let us know you are passionate about science. Other options include independently self-studying something that interests you, preferably in math/science.

What year are you?

I've taken community college chem, math, english, spanish, and art. Next year (senior year) I'm enrolling at community college taking mainly science and math classes.
