Please tell us what the email said about admit day in L.A. Did not receive this email but was accepted to both UCLA and UCSD.

this is what the email said:

CONGRATULATIONS on your admission to the University of California, San Diego!

On behalf of our faculty, staff, students, and alumni, we invite you and your family to join us for a special reception to recognize your academic achievements and to celebrate your admission to one of the country's outstanding universities. RSVP here!

This special event will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the West Los Angeles Radisson Hotel (near Los Angeles International Airport). You will meet other admitted freshmen, as well as UC San Diego alumni, from the Los Angeles area.

We want to give you and your family a glimpse of the unlimited possibilities awaiting you. Dr. Daniel E. Wulbert, Provost of Revelle College at UCSD, will be pleased to welcome you and share some of the reasons for saying "Yes!" to UCSD. Mae W. Brown, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services, will be your hostess for the afternoon.

During the reception you will have the chance to meet and talk with current UC San Diego students, UCSD alumni from the Los Angeles area, and representatives from student organizations. Officials from the departments of Admissions, Housing and Dining Services, the Alumni Office, and Financial Aid will be there throughout the reception and also available to speak with early arrivals at their information tables between 1:30 pm and the start of the formal reception program at 2:00 pm.

Light refreshments will be served - that means an array of delicious desserts!

Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis - please RSVP on our webpage [admissions.ucsd.edu/la] and view additional details about the reception, and find what you need to know about the location and parking arrangements.

Our gratitude goes to the UC San Diego Alumni Association for their co-sponsorship of this reception.

We look forward to welcoming you at this very special event.

I got it, too!

got that last year except it was at a hotel in my area. (oc)
anywho, i didn't go. you should though. you get to meet other people that got accepted and are planning to go here. you can start making friends before school even starts. =P

btw, which college did you get into? in in warren.

I got in to Warren College.

you're gonna love it at warren. =]

only thing you might dislike for now is the orientation issue. all other colleges have different orientation times throughout the summer, that you can sign up for. they also have one after move in, before classes start.

warren ONLY has the after move in day and before classes start. i thought it was lame but after experiencing it, i think it was a GREAT idea because ALL the warren freshmen are doing it together. yeah you have your orientation groups and events but there's big events for everybody. orientation is a blast. =] also, look forward to UnOlympics. =]

i got into revelle

Wow UnOlympics sounds exciting. Lol
