Admittances!

I know but how come some people have been accepted already

From reading the thread it sounds as if the only people who received acceptances today were accepted into the honors program and/or received scholarships. Is that correct? Was anyone accepted without any of these accolades?

i wasnt accepted to honor programs and/or received scholarships.

is it bad if I still did not get the email but I got CHP letter on the 14th?

^ Got the CHP letter today, still no e-mail/decision. No worries, they still have a month and a half to post them.

omgoshhhh!! i want in!! i got an ELC package in the mail but i didn't get into the top FOUR percent, but i still got to use the elc uc application. does that help you in admissions.

You guys are too antsy...Wait until March 1st, when the admissions officially comes out. Most of the people who got acceptances were those that got CHP and/or Regent's

2 more weeks and hopefully more of us will know!

So do they have some sort of system that reviews higher stats first? hmmmm

^At first I thought the people that got in were honors program/scholarship people, but then it looks like some "normal" people got notified this past week too.

I got Regents and CHP too

heh. I don't think I'll be going to Irvine though even though the $$ is pretty nice. hah
oh yeah, i got guarantee for irvine due to ELC =x

Hmm... do you guys think anybody else is going to get Regents now? I'm getting anxious that all I got a letter about was CHP and haven't gotten a decision yet.

I'm anxious because I haven't heard anything from them =)

Hmm... I got the thing about CHP in the mail, but it doesn't say anything on the website.... I think I just signed up for the myadmissions thing a couple days ago... Could that be it? Maybe I signed up kind of late? Maybe I just have to wait... but it's odd because I got the CHP thing in the mail.

how come some ppl get in early and some people dont?
what are they based on?
major? :T

It seems like the case that the "easier" admits were accepted early (aka most of you whom were accepted had either CHP or Regents or both). This was the case last year as well. Me and my good stats buddies were accepted on March 1st (the first day where they rolled out admissions.) Later, as the month progressed, they accepted more 'dumber' friends, so to speak lol. So i theorized that they probably make piles of (for sure admits)

Not sure that is the case, one of my daughter's friends that is neither CHP or Scholarship and has lower stats got her acceptance email the other day.
My daughter is ELC and CHP but no acceptance yet.
