Hey jfisher, Thank you sooo much for this information. I’ve been checking webportal nonstop for the past week and a half. Imagine if I didn’t know that information… that would have been an extra month and a half of looking at “pending” on my status. I hope that they tell us in April, this waiting process is pretty nerve wrecking. I really hope that they save some financial aid spots for transfer nursing students, I mean it isn’t the students’ fault that they don’t know their admission status a good month or two after the rest of the student body. Thanks again for the information!

@ two Buckin,

I’m quite ticked off, housing is offered on a first come first served basis depending on when you submit the license housing agreement. However, your unable to submit the license housing agreement unless your accepted by SDSU’s office of admissions (they don’t care if you were accepted to nursing school). So, practically, my goal of living on-campus is already screwed because all the freshmen already submitted their license agreements because they were accepted a long time ago (a month ago). I called the financial aid department and they said there was nothing for them to do until I’m accepted.

I hate the whole nursing process. Now, I have to reconsider whether SDSU is for me anymore because of this factual situation.

Open house isn’t mandatory that I know of…but the orientation in the summer is.

still pending… oh and i’m a theatre major

pending- religious studies transfer

Just checked webportal. Denied admission…which I think is BS considering I’ve heard of people with a 2.7 GPA getting in being in the area, yet I have almost a 3.7 GPA but I’m not in the area. I don’t really see why else I wouldn’t have gotten in. Oh, well.

I was denied as well. I have a 3.01 GPA though. I wasn’t surprised by the decision.

@talkinlikeeateen

If you are a transfer then i am in the same position as you. BS because i live in so cal and that still isnt in their “zone”. I checked today…denied

oh and i called. The man was very nice, said I have a high GPA but i am not in their service area

I"m sad, SDSU denied me. Guess I’m not in their service area. I wish I could go there, but I guess I had to still wait for my acceptance letter again.

Wow, well atleast I’m not the only one. I got denied with a 3.65 GPA and was wondering if it was a mistake. But i guess its just because I live in NorCal, which is BS. Whatever, as long as I get into UCSB or UCSD

Yeeee, I got in. (Honors program too!)
3.96 GPA
1650 SAT

Going here for fall 2011 (Over UC-Irvine, UC-Santa Cruz, CSU-Long Beach)

AZTECS!

@HiAcceptMe Yes, I am a transfer. I’m in Central California, so clearly not in their service area either. That’s so stupid, but oh well. It does make me more concerned about getting into CSULB, though, which is what I’m really hoping for.

@ babyygurl
those are the two UCs I want to get in most too

@talkinlikeeateen
That is the other cal state i am waiting on, luckily Los Angeles county is in their service area

@HiAcceptMe
I’m not in LA county either lol so I’m double screwed. However, my application to the university was cleared - at least I assume so, as it was forwarded to the department of my major. When I called about it they said they were just waiting to hear from the program, so…fingers crossed, I suppose. :S

I deffently didnt have the GPA that you guys are saying… my GPA was like a 3.2 weighted… and i got in but i think its because im from Mass

@Annamariax3 Are you a transfer student or first-time freshman?

@talkinlikeateen im a first time freshman

@Annamariax3 Yes, that seems to be the common trend. First-time freshmen from all over get in but transfers even in the home state aren’t getting in because we’re not in their service area. Stuuuuupid.

Decision: Accepted!
Major: T.V. & Film (want to switch to communications though)

Stats:
SAT: 1780
SAT IIs: 570 Math 2s/ 580 US hist
ACT: didn’t take
GPA: 4.01 weighted!
