I sent my official transcripts like 2 weeks ago but my To Do List still lists that Cal Poly needs my transcripts…how long does it take for them to be processed? I fear that maybe they did not receive them

That happened to me too. They will eventually get to it. If you are worried, you can always send them an email or call them.

You need not to worry… this is a high heat time for universities… imagine they have tens of thousands of applicants and each sends them something. It takes a lot to categorize everything etc. I was waiting over a month to have my transcripts accepted and shown on my application in some universities, so dont worry, just be patient

True, I thought about how all the admitted students may be sending their stuff at the same time…can’t wait for Fall 2012 :D

If we haven’t accepted/declined yet, then we aren’t required to send anything in yet, right?

Exactly. In case they missed something, they would ask you to send it. Just be patient :)

Send it in anyway. Even if you have not accepted/declined yet – just do it. What is it going to cost you? 5 to 10 min of your time and postage? Don’t give anyone an excuse to rescind your offer of admission.

It’s true what Osaka says…I sent in my AP Scores before I was even admitted

Under Freshman Terms and Conditions of Admission, the student must send in their ‘official, final high school transcript with confirmation of graduation’ by July 15, 2012. I don’t believe you need to send in an earlier version which just contains your 1st semester senior grades, unless you’re applying for the Honors Program or some other scholarships.

Yes COparent, that’s what I read as well. I was a little worried when I saw this thread and everyone was sending their transcripts because I didn’t send mine and I was worried I missed something. I’m pretty sure they don’t want your official transcript until you have the final transcript with graduation confirmation. Otherwise you’ll just have to send them a second one.

Im a transfer, not a high school senior. It’s a different process for transfers, because in my Student Center it says to send my official transcripts and work in progress as soon as possible.

You read correctly. I am a transfer student as well and admissions told me transfers need to get their transcript(s) in ASAP (like now!). They want to see those Spring courses as “work in progress” to see if we told the truth on our application as to what classes we’re taking in the Spring. Then, after our Spring semester is over they will ask for another transcript with final grades. So one now, and one after Spring semester. I’m assuming it’s a different process for high school seniors…
