Admitted students: what did you write about for "optional essay"?

Any sort of reflection would really help.

Okay, I’m really new to CC, but here goes. I actually didn’t write the optional essay; I felt like I said everything I needed/wanted to say in the common app essay and the why penn essay. I didn’t have anything particularly “special” to write about for the optional one, so I just chose not to do it. Sorry, I don’t know if this helps at all!

Pretty much wrote about what the prompt asked, my life and personality.

I talked about who I am as a person and what I accomplished in my hometown.

Sent from my ADR6350 using CC App

I wrote a poem about my quirks. 'Twas a sonnet.

I summarized in brief my four years of high school. Kind of like poetically. ^^;

I feel like if something inspirational strikes you, or there’s something else amazing that you haven’t put elsewhere in your application, you put it here. But don’t go crazy about it.

did any of you guys go over the 150 word limit?

180 words here

I wrote about my 9.5 toes and related to how I’m cognizant of my imperfections yet nevertheless move forward.

I wrote about my flag collection (and then all my friends called me a big dork), and I thought it was good! I went to about 175 words.
