Advantages of taking the ACT?

I'm a rising senior in high school, and I've taken the SAT twice. I currently have a score of 1510 on the SAT. I know that's pretty good, but I'm looking to get the Singer/Stamps invite. Would it be good for me to take the ACT to increase my chances? What are the advantages of the ACT over the SAT? Disadvantages?

Bump, anyone have anything?

it can’t hurt taking the ACT
though you did very well on the SAT, some people find the ACT easier
might as well try it out just to see what your composite is
i think the ACT may have more variation from test to test (ex. reading really easy one time, hard the next)
but if you re-take the ACT and take advantage of this variation, it could definitely increase your superscore
also, if you do well on the ACT, it looks good to admissions to show you are a strong test taker on two different standarized tests
