I'm about to go into my junior year at a small private school. I have always wanted to attend Columbia and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting in. I already take the most rigorous class load my school offers and understand the importance of the SAT and ACT. I run cross country, indoor and outdoor track, have lettered all seasons since freshman year and am ranked highly in the state. I plan on contending for state titles and such throughout this year and next. I am vice president of my class, planning on running for president senior year. I am involved in five different clubs in my school and also handle two community service jobs a week. I am striving for academic awards this year, as in the past. Does anyone have any advice as to what else I can possibly do. I plan on majoring in fashion business which explains why New York is a prime spot to study. Also, how much weight does athletics carry when the administration makes a decision on accepting a student into the ivy league?

fashion busines? I thought you guys prefered Parsons!!!!

I cannot go to Parson's. I plan on majoring in business administration/management and fashion merchandising. I also want to have a career in cross country and track and field in college. Plus, Columbia's core curriculum interests me.
