At this point, what are my chances of making an ivy (specifically cornell or colombia)?
Also, I know my spanish grades are pretty bad right now, but do colleges put less emphasis on language?
Finally, any advice on how to improve for junior year?
Thanks to everyone that replies!

Hard to say without knowing your SAT?ACT score, but going off your PSAT you do have some work to do. I’m not sure if Cornell and Columbia reweight GPAs -I think I read somewhere on CC that Cornell doesn’t, but I’m not entirely sure. Bring up those standardized test scores and shoot for all As next semester

Way too early to tell. You have a good foundation so far, but you’ll need at least a 1450-1500 two-subject on your SAT to even be considered for either of those very elite schools. You’ll need to nail your junior and senior year, to keep that upward trend going as far as grades. You didn’t include this information, but if you’re a minority then your chances will go up as well. Keep up the good work, and fyi, PSAT scores mean nothing in the admissions process.

Good luck!
