I'm premed and thinking of majoring in anthropology, and I was wondering if this schedule for spring semester classes is manageable:

Chem 2
Bio 14
Math 12
Anthro 20
Japanese 2

I'm taking Chem 1, Anthro 10, English 1, Japanese 1, and emergency care this semester, and have been handling it pretty well. Do you guys think taking both chem and bio in freshman year is a good idea, or should I just double up on bio and organic chem next year?

If you keep up this pace, you'll probably be a great candidate for the Tufts Early Admissions program if that's what you're looking at. If you can handle it, by all means go ahead. Also, keep in mind that many medical schools require a full year of english and will not recognize the english 1 exemption/proficiency of english II (sucks doesn't it? I had the same problem). Just be warned that Chem 2 is significantly more difficult than Chem 1, and bio 14 will be a lot of lab work. Chemistry labs are a joke and are meant for completion, bio 14 labs actually require substance and will drive you nuts over whether or not your caption of 3 lines has one or two phrases in it.
