Oh, I completely agree… and to be fair to the teacher - she has basically said that she will be able to find “a place” with no problem - it may not be a top school or a wonderful program or in a desirable place but that she will be able to find a place. I do know how competitive it is - we know several very talented kids who didn’t get into their first choice or even second or third choice. Trust me, we have no crazy dreams here. We just want her to be happy. Luckily she will graduate likely in the top 3% of her class so I do think she will have some very good fallback options academically. I mostly came here because I am looking for some guidance beyond those who we know ~ I know those who have been through it before have a multitude of advice and that makes it easier for those of us doing it for the first time. Right now, she’s just excited to have been accepted to Penn State’s summer theatre program and Governors School! We take the small victories : ) All advice is always welcome ~
