Advice on whether I should transfer out of USC and where to?

You should leave this year, i need a spot to take.

HAHA, well we'll see how the application process goes. If I don't get into anywhere, well I guess there won't be that extra open spot. Maybe you can tell every school that I apply to to accept me.

this is so wierd.
LOL.
I'm a freshman at NYU and i really really want to go to USC.
I love NYU...but it's not me

if you DO wanna apply to NYU however, they're a lot more easier to get into after freshman year than sophomore year.
and if it's NYU stern...then it's nearly impossible because Stern isn't too big on people not starting out as freshmen.

We should just ask the schools if we can take each other's spots, lol.

akalboy, i'm in the same situation as you but i'm at a cc, wanting to go to nyu stern but after making a thread about it, it doesn't seem like a realistic option for me. i'm now thinking about bostonu, gtech and uga. good luck to you!

Don't waste time on Stanford. The transfer admit rate is like 2%.

Check out UChicago, Northwestern, and Cornell.

yea we should ask if we can swap spots. i don't mind that!

Oh BU is a nice school! Got accepted there, but opted for USC.

And yeah, maybe Stanford isn't worth my time, didn't realize the admit rate was so low before coming onto CC, lol. But I actually applied to UChicago EA, got deferred, and ultimately rejected. So not sure if it's worth it again. But I'll definitely check out Northwestern and Cornell, thanks for the suggestions :)

Hm, so it turns out that I came in with enough credits that I can actually graduate in 3 years without having to take more than 16 units each semester.

So now I'm really stuck on what to do. I mean it'd be nice to graduate early, but if I transfer anywhere, I'd have to do 4 years. Blah, opinions on what would be the best thing to do?

Just leave. I'm sure you won't be missed.

I would stay if I were you, at least give USC a chance. My daughter will also be able to graduate in 3 years.
