advice please!!

Hi,

I am a current high school junior. I have a dual interest in science/medicine and the humanities. Throughout high school, I have mainly been involved in activities such as debate and Model UN and I have not done any science summer programs or olympiads or research in high school (mainly because i havnt found any). I do want to be a doctor one day and get into a high ranked medical school.

I was wondering if my lack of science EC's in high school will set me back to getting into a good medical school. I plan to heavily focus on science during college by shadowign doctors, doing research, etc. I was just wondering if it is too late for me to get back into science and still get into a good med school. Thanks!

Remember, for med schools high school stuff doesn't matter. You could probably bring it up when you are at an interview (like I volunteered at a hospital or I was active in the Model UN) but I don't think it counts if you put it on your application.

Your High School record is not considered when you apply to medical school
